Release Notes 2/20/2020
Released on Thursday, February 20th, were a number of updates that address several issues reported over the last few weeks. Universes discussed here will focus mostly on the UCPath Employment Daily universe but will also include the FINITE Universe, which now includes the UCPath Salary and Benefits Expense data.
Universe Updates
UCPath Employment Daily Universe - changes
- Salary and Benefits data updates include a change that will ensure that the objects SBE Jobcode, SBE Jobcode Desc, and SBE Jobcode Short objects are now returning the correct job code and descriptions that were effective at the time the Salary or Benefit Expense was incurred. This corrected a problem when the description was not returned in the My Grant Activity ITD report.
- Salary and Benefits data also added a few new objects for Comprate and Comprate Hourly as measure objects and also as a dimension version, which is needed for reports that have grouping into custom buckets/ranges and for union queries with PPS data. Note that SBE Comprate Frequency object value determines what the value in SBE Comprate means.
- A new object has been added to the UCPath Employment Daily Salary and Benefits data, which returns the Employee AIS Id.
- A technical change to the way the data is retrieved for the current fiscal year addresses a problem we experienced on the last day of the month, which caused data to be dropped from reports. The month-end “missing data” retrieval problem is fixed in this release.
FINITE Universe - changes
The FINITE Universe has similar updates to UCPath Employment Daily regarding those objects that can be supported in the FINITE structure.

Report Updates
Common Prompts unified
To have report prompts have a consistent structure across all of the UCPath, the reports being updated in this release will reflect that effort. Again, the goal here is to make the prompts concise, clear, and consistent from report to report when filtering for the same prompted values.
UCPath - Dope
Category: Financial Operating\Non-certified Drafts
This report has updates that will result in eliminating the blanks that were appearing in the SBE Jobcode Description for certain transactions. The prompts for this report have been unified to reflect the expected prompt texts.
Newly added to this Dope report is an optional prompt for Employee Id, which allows the entry of 1 or more employee ids for retrieval of data for those employees.
UCPath - Dope
Category: UCPath Employment Daily\Non-certified Drafts
This report has the same updates that are in the recent Financial Operating version, including eliminating the blanks that were appearing in the SBE Jobcode Description for certain transactions. The prompts for this report have been unified to reflect the expected prompt texts.
Newly added to this Dope report is an optional prompt for Employee Id, which allows the entry of 1 or more employee ids for retrieval of data for those employees.
UCPath My Grant Activity - ITD

The changes included in this updated version include a change to include PPS vacation pay, which was not included as it should have been in the prior version. Also, modified to include missing comprate information using the new SBE Comprate objects mentioned above. Changed prompted date for Path data to Accounting date (to match FIS transdate).
UCPath - All Employees Unit Roster changes

The UCPath - All Employees Unit Roster report (aka Unit Roster) has several minor changes that include the updated prompt text in the query.
EFF SEQ column data change
There is also a change to the “Eff Seq” value in the previous version of the report, which presented the wrong data object in that column. The object now presented is the Eff Seq from the Funding Entry table, which will always be NULL for all unfunded employees.
