Access Management Policy

Access to the UCSC Data Warehouse (InfoView) or the Financial Managers Workbench (FMW) is given to employees who can demonstrate that they have a legitimate business need.

An employee can demonstrate a legitimate business need by:

1. Already having access to the same or similar types of information, for example through source system access or reports
2. Acquiring appropriate permissions and/or signatures from source system stewards or their delegates
3. Being the data source or source system stewards.

All applicants must fill out an application form, sign the privacy statement on page two and have their supervisor give permission.

Where applicable, applicants may be required to fill out additional forms or complete additional training before being granted access.
