Step-by-Step Guide

Prerequisite: Have your report open and make sure it is in Design Mode. If necessary, refresh your report.

A. Rename your headers

Note: Once you rename your headers, rearranging the columns in your table becomes a two-step process: your newly named headers will have to be moved separately from the contents.

1. Double click on your header. (Click on the header rapidly until the text becomes highlighted).

2. Type in your desired text.

3. Hit "Enter".

Alternately: The text of your headers can be changed by using the Formula Bar. For more information, check out the Formula Bar Guide.

B. Show headers on every page

When you have a table that spans over multiple pages, InfoView does not automatically show the headers on every page.

1. Click on one of your table headers.

2. Go to the menu "Report Elements", then the "Behaviors" submenu.

Note: This menu will disappear entirely if you have not selected a cell in a table!

3. Click on the button "Repeat" and select "Header on every Page".

C. Show Headers on a page that has no headers showing

If you have accidentally deleted the headers to your table, you can add them back.

1. Click inside your table.

2. Navigate to the menu "Report Elements", then the "Table Layout" submenu.

Note: This menu will disappear entirely if you have not selected a cell in a table!

3. Click on the button "Header" and select "Show Header".

D. Extra header options for tables with breaks

When working with tables that contain breaks, you will also find header options in the "Managed Breaks" pop-up window.

More information about this can be found in our Breaks guide.
