Custom Formatting

Introduction

In a custom format, you can make choices about the number of decimal places, the location of punctuation such as a negative sign or a thousands comma, and leading or trailing numbers. With dates, the order, names and name truncations can be chosen. This can be very helpful if you need a number or date to appear in a particular format.
