Cell Formatting

Prerequisite: Have your report open and make sure it is in Design Mode. If necessary, refresh your report.

1. Click inside the cell that you want to change. To select more than one cell, hold down control (command on a mac) and click on the other desired cell(s).

Note: Column content in a table always act as a block, meaning that any change to one cell will affect all of the cells in the column (not including headers). You can see which cells will change based on the grey shadows that appear when a cell is selected.

2. Right click on the cell (command + click on a mac) and select "Format Cell...". Then, select:

  • "General" for cell size and display options
  • "Border" to change borders and border colors
  • "Appearance" for background colors and images

When you have finished making your changes, click "OK".

OR

Navigate to the "Formatting" menu and use the buttons in the submenus Border, Cell, Style, Size, Padding and Tools to make your changes.

Note: Buttons will be unclickable unless a cell is selected.
